Amy Smart was born in 1976 in Topanga Canyon, California.
Actress Amy Smart had a supporting role
in teen films like "Varsity Blues" and "Outside Providence".
She got her start in TV-movies including the NBC dramas
"Seduced by Madness: The Diana Borchardt Story" and "Her Costly Affair".
Her feature debut in Stephen Kay's "The Last Time I Committed Suicide".
This biopic of beat icon Neal Cassady, featuring Smart alongside stars like Thomas Jane,
Keanu Reeves and Claire Forlani , premiered on Cinemax later that year. Also in 1997, the actress
appeared in Paul Verhoeven's big-budget sci-fi actioner "Starship Troopers".
A more recent performance was in the comedy, "Just Friends" (2005),
she played the high school best friend of a shy and overweigh teen (Ryan Reynolds )
whose crush on her never went away even after becoming a
successful music executive.
